A Word From The Author

So, here we are yet again. "Again," you ask? Yes, again. You see, this story (or what will become this story) is based on a few events in my life, which I have decided to expand upon and turn into what I hope will be a good original work.

Everybody say hello to Megan. Megan and I have known each other for years upon years, and I'm happy to say that she's a total sweetheart. She's a wonderful girl, drop-dead beautiful, and tons of fun to be around. She's also a great mommy to her likewise beautiful daughter.

Many moons ago, Megs and I were talking online. At the time, I had been writing Anime FanFiction on a much more regular basis, and she started reading some of my stories. Then, one random day, she made an innocent little joke:

"You should write a story about me."

Joke or not, I took her comment at face value, and "Mobile Suit Gundam: Three Days In London" was born.

So now, here we are, years later. While "MSG:TDIL" still stands, it doesn't seem to be... Enough, I guess. Fantasy laced with romance and kickass robots is one thing, but in order for me to consider myself a good all-around writer, I need to make what I call "the really big leap." I need to get out of basing my work on something pre-existing and step into a world entirely of my own creation.

I need to take the thoughts flying around in my head (and believe me, today, there are quite a few of those) and put them to digital pen and paper.

And so, thus is born "A Second Chance Story." In these serial entries, I hope to unfold a tale of love, loss, and reconciliation. And I hope beyond hope that it doesn't suck! I guess we'll see in the coming days/weeks/months/however long it takes me to get this off the ground.

I have a muse now, and it's time I took "the really big leap." At least I know that I'm not jumping alone...
